Independent Video

Beginning in 2002, Carlin Trammel and Stormspeed Entertainment began producing independent movie shorts. Beginning with sort of a test run on a short called The Puppet and the Preacher, Carlin assembled a cast and crew and shot a 12 minute short. He almost immediately followed that up with a 25-minute adaptation of the action romance comic he had written, David Von Fange in Tastes Like Chicken. On "Chicken," Carlin was involved with every aspect of production as a director, writer, producer, editor and even an actor.

Scaling back in length of project and size of cast and crew, Carlin looked to surpass what had come before in terms of quality. He teamed up with co-director Josh Hawn and produced a five minute short entitled Missed Me. Missed Me ran in three film festivals in the northwest Florida/southwest Georgia area.

In 2007, Carlin had the opportunity to be involved with an exciting 24-page feature story being put together by Tallahassee Magazine. The concept was called "It Happened One Night" and featured seven teams of writer/photographers capturing images from around Tallahassee from dusk until dawn. Carlin met up with several of the teams that night and put together a 50-minute documentary called "How It Happened One Night" produced to run on TallahasseeMagazine.com.

Currently Carlin is in the middle of production on a new series of thirteen short videos intended for use in a church youth setting. An initial set of seven debuted on the SonQuest 2007 highlights video. The entire set will be available for purchase in 2008. For further updates, keep watching Stormspeed Now.

Carlin was recently involved with the Tallahassee Film Festival's 24 Hour Film Contest and starred in and edited the Viewer's Choice winner, "Making Rainbows."
